Green Heart Garden

Our  time at our first farm ist almost over and we couldn`t have had a better start here in Canada. The whole Bradley Family welcomend us warmly at their farm near Wiarton, which is near Owen Sound, Ontario. The Bradley Family lives here with 4 Generations. First there`s Grandma, who is 89 years old and the best cooker! Her Food is so delicious and healthy and most of the ingredients are from their own garden. Then Anna Jean, who owns the farm with her daughter Emily, with whom we spent most of the time. And then there`s Johnny, Emilys 6-years-old son, who has much, much energy!( not always in a good way).The farm is really nice and consists of the main house, the Studio,where we sleep and an old barn, which is barely used. It also has a big vegetable and herb garden, where we help to grow the plants. Yesterday Valerie and me weeded a whole bed. But because of Summerfolk we prepared Food most of the time we were here but since monday we spent a lot of time with the Family at the beach and at their Cottage at the Lake Huron.

Next to Valerie and me, here are 4 more Wwoofers. Ursula and Elena, also from Germany left 2 days ago, Vanina from France and Rachel from Toronto. With Emily together we called us "the 7 sisters" for the Festival , cause we`re such an amazing Team :)

The weather here is great! I`ve never seen such a beautiful sky at night with so many stars. I`ve even saw the milky way and a few Shooting stars. Yesterday we went to a farm of a friend, whom we met at Summerfolk. The farm was the most amazing place I`ve seen. So beautiful and big. We had a great time and without the great hospitality of the Canadians!!!

Summerfolk Festival

Since friday we're in Owen Sound for the sunmerfolk Festival, Where we work for our hosts foodcourt. We're Selling  burritos and taco salad , everything is fresh and local and we even have vegan and Gluten Free choices. Mimi's rooftop Café , which is owend by Emily, Our Host  and her mother. We're a pretty Huge Crew and we're Working in Shifts, so everyone has to work 4 hours a day. Its the Second Year for them and everything Went pretty smooth Even with some Small Desasters :D 

Today is the Last day and the weather was so nice the whole Weekend except the Nights are pretty cold and we're sleeping in a tent. The First Night was aweful but we got more blankets so this Night was better^^ 

The Festival is very folksy and much acoustic Performances , Not really my Taste of Music but its nice and Something different and its directly at the Beach! 

Which is pretty cool and gooooood cause here are no showers!!!!!

Toronto and Foodporn at the Niagara Falls :D

We made it safly to Canada !!:)
We landed on thursday with an incredible view over the Toronto Skyline and we got through the security quite well althrough they asked us some questions and wanted to see our documents.
As soon we got out of the Airport...we were lost :D But Canadians are super friendly and a Family helped us to get the right subway and so we made it to our Hostel.
The last 3 days we explored Toronto. We climbed up ( well we took the Elevator xD) the CN Tower and walked around Downtown. Then we made a daytour to the Niagara Falls, which was also really awesome. The took the boat right under the Falls and got really wet but ist just a Thing you HAVE to do when you`re there ;)
We also were at the Niagara-on-the-lake, a small town, and omg we ate the most delicious peach Fritters EVER!! Foodporn :D
The daytour also included a wine tasting stop at a winery, where we tasted local ice wine, which was really delicious!

So actually I wanted to upload some picutres but  the Internet here isn`t that good so hopefully someday I have the time and the good Internet to do a picturepost :)

Since yesterday we`re on the first farm and its really nice here. Ist a commune of a grandgrandmother, a grandmother, mother and son and we`re 6 wwoofers and the Moment!
We´re really busy making Food for the Summerfolk Festival in Owen Sound, the next bigger City from here. Today we cooked black beans for the vegan Beansburritos, we`re going to sell there. :)
We also have a dog called Molly here!
I`m really excited about the next weeks and the Festival, which is going to be really cool :D

Whats in my Bag // less then 24 hours to go !!

SoOmg....this will be my Last blogentry in Germany!!! 

Our flight leaves tomorrow at 10.00 o'clock at Frankfurt AirPort ! And Sorry if maybe some weird misspellings appear, i'm Typing this on my cell phone with the stupid autocorrect o.O i have to fix it someday ^^ 

So everything is Packed and i thought why Not make a blogentry about what I'll Take with me :) cause i Think its really Hard , putting all Clothes and stuff U need for half a Year in a backback :)

All in all I have now 15-16 kg! Not Bad... I thought it going to be so Hard to Stay within the 20 kg, but it was actually pretty Easy to Chose which Shirt i leave here and which One is going with me on this Journey :)

Valerie and I will Share One dakine backpack for the flight. We also have a small Laptop with us, so we can Stay connected to the Internet ^^ 

Soon I have to say goodbye to everyone. A Little while ago our neighbours came and gave me this Stone . They Said :" if you'll be homesick , you just have to rub the Stone and then you have the FEELING!!" :DD
